You can perform a trademark search yourself since the registries are publicly available. However, members of the general public usually only search for identical registered trademarks, which doesn't provide a complete picture of your chances.

When you have a legal professional perform the search, they will have access to tools that can detect not only identical but also similar trademarks. As a reminder, both identical and similar trademarks can oppose your application and potentially prevent it from being registered.

If you are interested in a complete trademark search, we offer it free of charge. We also provide an assessment of how much threat would the found similar trademarks pose to your brand.
